Indie bundling team Indie Royale have unleashed their New Year’s Bundle onto the world.

This pack – which is available right up until Tuesday 10 January – includes multiplayer strategy title Nuclear Dawn, 2D physics-based platformer Max and the Magic Marker, darling music puzzler Fractal, and quirky arcade shooter Super Crossfire.

All four of the games support PC and Mac and, with the exception of Super Crossfire, can be redeemed on Steam.

Pay more than the minimum price – £2.61 at time of writing – and you’ll also get an album of chiptunes from George & Johnathan. I don’t know who they are but I listened to it yesterday and it is quite good!

17,461 bundles have currently been sold.

Unlike pay-what-you-want indie bundle schemes of a more humble variety, none of the cash monies earned from the Indie Royale bundles go to charity – though isn’t supporting indie games development a good cause in itself?

Indie Royale’s next bundle is four weeks away – the Valentine’s Bundle.

Seeing as I’ve been at work all week I’d say we’re a bit too far into 2012 for things to be labelled “Near Year”, but then again VideoGamer.com still hasn’t declared its 2011 Game of the Year so who am I to talk?
