Capcom’s former Research and Development head is working on an RPG exclusive set for an August release.

He has also stated in an interview with Bloomberg that he is developing a social game set to be released in Japan next month, likely being developed at his new Comcept studio.

Inafune told the website he left Capcom last October because he was not being included in the decision-making process.

“In this industry, it’s often the creators who have the eye for potential hits but they’re not the ones deciding what gets published,” he said. “We’ll see many more clashes as creator-management divides widen.”

He had been with the company for 23 years.

As the man behind many of Capcom’s major brands – Mega Man, Onimusha and Dead Rising to name just three – his upcoming RPG is bound to create much interest in gaming circles.
