Team 17 has released a new trailer for The Escapists 2 showcasing, three of the ten prisons that’ll feature in the game later this month. Each of the three prisons all share a unique trait, in that they’re actually different types of prison transport vehicles. Players will have to respond to them accordingly, utilising the stealth skills of inmates if they plan to escape. The three prison transport vehicles have completely different characteristics, though, even though they fulfil the same function of shifting inmates about.

Cougar Creek Railroad sees inmates locked up on a train making its way along the aforementioned railroad with vultures circling above the train the player will have to do what it takes before they reach the end of the line, literally. H.M.S Orca will see inmates cast adrift, trying their level-best to escape from a shipping tanker that intends to drop inmates off onto an island far away from any remnants of civilisation. The third and final prison transport vehicle, Air Force Con, will require the player to channel their very best Nicolas Cage as they attempt to escape unscathed and land the rogue plane..

Those who pre-order The Escapists 2 from select stores will get access to an additional prison, The Glorious Regime, a jungle compound with unquestioningly loyal guards. The Escapists 2 will launch on August 22 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The Nintendo Switch version will follow, with more details to come.
