In case you didn’t know, today is November 7, otherwise known to Mass Effect fans as N7 day, a day to celebrate the spectacular sci-fi RPG series. This year marks the tenth year of such celebrations, and Bioware has put out a special video interviewing key people involved with the franchise to commemorate the occasion.

There’s loads of lovely bits of trivia in the seven-and-a-half minute documentary, from notes about romances to heartwarming reactions from fans, but probably our favourite might be when Senior Art Director Derek Watts reveals that the Normandy – Shepard’s signature ship – nearly had the letters SSV wrote on the side, which would have been fine except for if they had to suddenly turn upside down to fly away from Saren.

You can watch the rest of the minidoc, including a minor discussion on the difficulties of making out with a Turian, for yourself here. These are important questions, people.
