About six months ago, Microsoft announced during its Gamescom conference that Crytek's multiplayer monster hunt-em-up Hunt: Showdown would be coming to Xbox One via the Xbox Game Preview service. Today the company has announced when we can expect it, slapping a big ol' 'Spring 2019' on the expected arrival date of the game on the service.

Hunt Showdown sees you teaming up with other players to take on unique monsterous foes that won't go down without a fight across a huge map that also has other, smaller natural threats to deal with along with the options of working alone, as a team or even stabbing your teammates in the back to escape with the quarry. Furthermore, character progression carrys over between matches, meaning a death can see characters built up over many games lost forever.

To go with the announcement as per Xbox Wire, a new teaser trailer has been released, which you can watch below. Hunt Showdown is also currently available on PC where it has been in Early Access for about a year.
