Grand Theft Auto IV came to a conclusion last month with the release of The Ballad of Gay Tony, the second of two episodes set in GTA 4’s Liberty City. With GTA 4 now thought to be done, the wait is on for the announcement of the inevitable GTA 5.

While Take-Two’s chairman Strauss Zelnick and co have remained tight lipped on the future of the GTA franchise, Rockstar Games co-founder Dan Houser has suggested the game is most definitely on his mind.

“We’ll think of a city first, then the characters,” Houser told The Times.

The Times also states that the script for the next GTA, to be co-written by Houser, will run to around 1,000 pages – nearly ten times longer than a standard feature film script.
