Following on from the latest gameplay reveal for Tears of the Kingdom and the reveal of the Zelda OLED Switch, the Nintendo Store has seen hour long queues that have effectively taken the online store down.

Following on from the reveal, Nintendo quietly dropped another bombshell, that a Zelda themed Switch was scheduled for release on the 28th April, nearly two weeks before the launch of the game on May 12th.

You can pre-order the Zelda OLED Switch through the Nintendo Store, we think. We haven’t even been able to get onto the site and confirm this due to the 22,000 person long queue to get hold of one. At the time of writing, there’s 7,000 people ahead of us, and more than an hour till we’re due to get onto the store.

If there’s even any stock left by the time we’re let on – we’re going to fight tooth and nail to get one of these Tears of the Kingdom Switches.

The huge queue for the Nintendo Store has effectively taken it down, as you can’t access or buy anything during this time unless you manage to get to the front of the queue.

We’re going to be keeping an eye out for where to pre-order the Tears of the Kingdom Switch, though at the moment it looks like this is one of your only options.
