Hotline Miami 2 might not release until 2015

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number may not be ready until “early 2015”, Devolver Digital has warned. The game was initially expected to release this autumn.

But while that may still happen, in an update on Twitter, Devolver explained that “Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is still getting some final tweaks and polish, expected to be ready for late 2014 or early 2015.”

“Your patience is appreciated and will ultimately be rewarded with everything you hoped for and nothing like what you expected,” it added.

It still isn’t clear whether the game will release simultaneously across PC, PS4, PS Vita and Mac, or whether Devolver is aiming for a staggered launch.

I was given a brief look at the game’s level editor in a car park outside this year’s E3. It was hot. I was jetlagged. There was a camper van. And I convinced a man from Devolver to make a level called the ‘Scam Jam’. Take a look in the video below.
