Hotline Miami 2’s level editor has finally launched in full on Steam, Devolver has announced. The editor first entered beta six months ago, with its final release following over one year after the game’s original launch in March 2015.

As well as letting players create their own levels, the editor also lets users remix existing missions and create entire campaigns, with hundreds of user-created levels already said to be available. And, if you fancy it, Devolver even goes so far as to encourage players to “go make Hotline Miami 3”.

“The Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number level editor allows users an amazing amount of depth and options to create their own single levels and full campaigns complete with custom cut scenes to tell their original stories in the Hotline Miami universe,” said a Devolver representative. “Players will hand design levels of their custom campaigns floor by floor, meticulously placing enemies, weapons, furnishings and decorations in order to design original missions and remake / remix their favorites from the series.

“Levels, campaigns, and collections can all be shared via Steam Workshop where hundreds of user created levels designed during the beta period are ready to be played.”

To celebrate the launch, Hotline Miami 2 will be available for 75% off on Steam later today.
