It might be unlucky for some but that hasn’t prevented Nintendo from announcing the Friday 13, April release of the compelling multilayered mystery Hotel Dusk: Room 215 for Nintendo DS.

Hotel Dusk is an adventure game where players take control of retired New York Cop Kyle Hyde, who now works as a salesman for Red Crown Company in California. One night in December 1979 he stops for the night in a mysterious hotel in the middle of the desert. It soon becomes apparent that everything is not as it seems.

To play the game, players hold the DS like a book as they guide Kyle through his mysterious surrounding using the touch screen. The 3D environment is displayed to the left with the touch screen used for navigation.

Just like you would in the real world, Kyle can take notes in a notepad using the DS touch screen. These notes could make all the difference when you come up against a difficult puzzle.

After gaining critical acclaim in North America the game will finally be available across Europe on April 13, with an estimated retail price of £30.
