The first in-game screens of Homeworld Remastered were shown by Gearbox during a panel at PAX Australia last week.

The images were presented following a new look at the remastered cinematics, completely reworked from the source files to present them in high definition.

To our eyes the remaster is looking pretty great. Gearbox has promised high-res textures and models, new graphical effects, and support for HD, UHD and 4K resolutions.

Multiplayer from the two games has also been “combined into one centralised mode that will allow you to interact with other players like never before”

Gearbox is aiming for a 2015 release.
