Homeworld Remastered’s Collector’s Edition will include a 12-inch, USB-powered, light-up Mothership from the series, Gearbox Software revealed during its panel at PAX East over the weekend.
Gearbox’s Steve Gibson commented that the developer is spending “an irresponsible amount” on the model ship.
According to a Collector’s Edition Survey posted by Gearbox which allowed fans to vote for the Mothership replica they wanted, the chosen model’s specs are:
- 12″, hand decorated, molded ABS resin Mothership with LED lights. Includes stand and USB/AC power cable.
The CE which includes the 12″ replica will carry a $100 price tag.
The new remastered versions have been modernised with the latest advances in graphics technology, including high-res textures and models, new graphical effects, and support for HD, UHD, and 4K resolutions. The game’s original audio and video artists have also recreated cinematic scenes.
Multiplayer from the two games has also been “combined into one centralised mode that will allow you to interact with other players like never before”
