Homefront sales are estimated to have already eclipsed one million copies across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific markets, THQ has announced.
Additionally, THQ has shipped 2.4 million units to date.
“We are very pleased with strong worldwide shipments and sell-through for Homefront, and we continue to fulfil new retail orders for the game across the globe,” said Brian Farrell, THQ president and CEO. “Homefront is clearly resonating with gamers and we are certainly pleased with our initial sales results.”
Although review scores averaged out at around 70 per cent, THQ appears to have a solid new IP on its hands with Homefront. There’s clearly something about the game which consumers find attractive and it hit stores at a time when little else was offering a similar experience.
