All future Homefront DLC will come first to Xbox 360, Microsoft has confirmed.

Announced last week at THQ’s extensive showcase in New York, Homefront is the latest game which will see its extra content heading to Xbox 360 before it eventually arrives on PS3.

In addition to the timed exclusivity on the content, Homefront on Xbox 360 will launch on March 11 with an exclusive multiplayer map: Suburbs.

With little in the way of exclusive game releases set for 2011 – we can think of Gears of War 3 and Forza 4 which are confirmed – gaining timed exclusives on DLC content for the year’s biggest releases could be a strong tactic for Microsoft.

Microsoft already has timed exclusives in place for Call of Duty DLC and we expect further agreements will come this year.
