PS3 Fanboy has been tipped off with news that the PlayStation Home open beta could be set to begin at the end of October, coinciding with the release of Home version 1.00 and PS3 firmware 2.50.
A forum post on the Home closed beta message board by Home Manager ‘TedTheDog’ said that current freezing and network issues would be fixed by PS3 firmware 2.50, an update he believes will be released in late October. The post also notes that PS3 Home 1.00 will launch simultaneously with the new firmware.
This has led many to the conclusion that late October will see the launch of the Home open beta. Sony’s remained tight-lipped on the matter.
