IO Interactive has already confirmed it's bringing Hitman back for another run on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the shape of the Definitive Edition of its acclaimed episodic outing, but it appears it may have something else in the pipeline to boot.

That's at least if the Korean rating's board is to be believed, which carries a listing for something called Hitman: Sniper Assassin for Sony and Microsoft's current-generation telly boxes. Nothing official has been announced yet, but it might an amalgamation of Hitman: Sniper and Hitman: Sniper Challenge, which previously hit iOS and last-gen systems, respectively.

Then again, we might be getting something new entirely. It's worth remembering that this isn't the first time we've heard about Hitman: Sniper Assassin either, as the game was previously rated in Australia earlier in the year.

Things are looking a little more positive for Agent 47's stealthy shenanigans as of late. After parting ways with Square Enix last year leaving the future of the brand up in the air, IO recently confirmed that it's buddied up with a new publisher partner in the shape of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

As for Hitman: Sniper Assassin, we'll be sure to keep you posted if it turns out to be an actual thing or not.
