Hitman: Definitive Edition is releasing for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this Spring as a result of a new partnership between IO Interactive and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
The Definitive Edition of 2016’s critically acclaimed episodic stealth romp includes the full Season One mission set, plus a bevy of extras including all-new outfits based on Freedom Fighters, Kane & Lynch, and Mini Ninjas.
In addition, players will also receive all of the Hitman Game of the Year bonus goodies, such as four missions plucked from the Patient Zero Campaign, three Escalation Contracts, three unique weapons, plus a bunch of extra outfits. Rounding out the package is the Hitman Summer Bonus Episode and Blood Money Requiem Pack.
‘We’re super excited to be working with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on HITMAN™ and together releasing the HITMAN™: Definitive Edition to new players,’ said IO Interactive boss, Hakan Abrak. ‘Working with a partner like WBIE means that the team at IOI can stay focused on what we’re good at, making games.’
Hitman: Definitive Edition is due for release beginning May 18. The original release of the game was published by Square Enix, although the company cut ties with IO Interactive back in 2017.
