Pre-order IO Interactive’s Hitman: Absolution (so far confirmed for only GameStop US) and you’ll receive a free code which can be redeemed on Xbox LIVE or PSN for a Hitman mini-game called Sniper Challenge.
The game was revealed on an ad found inside the latest edition of Game Informer magazine.
Hitman: Sniper Challenge features a replayable sniper mission and online leaderboards, with the best snipers rewarded with unspecified prizes. An exclusive rifle with upgrades is also mentioned, which we assume can be carried over to the main game.
A Hitman announcement has been teased for Thursday, which we assume will be Sniper Challenge. Expect more info on participating retailers then.
Hitman: Absolution will be released later this year for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Last month the Hitman: Absolution Professional Edition was detailed.
