The release date for Hitman’s third episode ‘Marrakesh’ will be announced next week, IO Interactive has confirmed.

The episode is currently expected to release at some point this month, although with time running out, it’s looking increasingly possible that it could have been delayed to June. Last month, IO warned that Hitman’s monthly release schedule is “subject to change”, before clarifying that it was still on schedule to launch a new episode each month.

As well as the release date announcement, next Friday, May 27, will also see the arrival of the game’s second Elusive Target, described as a “Congressman on a visit to sunny Sapienza”. To have a chance at taking him out you’ll need to own Hitman: Episode Two Sapienza but, as with last week’s Elusive Target, you’ll only have one opportunity to make the hit.

Future Elusive Targets are planned, too, IO says, with players who complete five Elusive Targets granted access to a special Hitman: Absolution suit. Complete 10 and you’ll unlock the Hitman: Blood Money suit. Other suit variations will also be available to players who complete even more, the developer says.

Earlier today, IO revealed that it had considered remastering 2006’s Hitman: Blood Money, but that its current focus remains on this year’s Hitman.

Hitman: Episode Two Sapienza released on April 26, six weeks after the first episode’s launch on March 11.
