Mods let you do incredible things. A version of Fallout is being released soon transporting the setting over to good ‘ol Blighty, and there’s also a mod that puts Hidetaka Miyazaki on Patches’ back, and then makes the grafted beast the game’s deadly final boss.

Hidetaka Miyazaki has been put inside From Software games plenty of times in the past. It shouldn’t come as a surprise seeing him riding the company’s most recognised character, either.

Spoiler alert from here on out for the game’s ending.

Developed by MRRCrychicQing, the mod is titled “Patches – Consort of Miyazaki.” It’s a free download, and alongside replacing Radahn Consort of Miquella with Patches and From Soft’s President, it also adds that infamous Poison Swamp aura and a Basilisk to the arena.

Pretty terrifying, via MRRCrychicQing.

The model for Miyazaki is actually lifted straight out of a mod from Sekiro, which uses the same game engine. This mod puts Miyazaki in Sekiro as an NPC, and it’s downright eerie.

This video captures the battle against Patches and Miyazaki with a pretty entertaining cinematic. Patches just looks so gosh-darned goofy, and seeing him explode open with power just makes me so happy. When Radahn/Patches spins towards you for the first attack, you will quickly forget you’ve modded the game. The character still has the same devastating move-set.

After the second phase, Patches will grow a back-pack. Inside of it, From Software’s President – Hidetaka Miyazaki – will be there. It’s quite pleasant seeing him snuggling the back of Patches’ head, too. Although he is somehow a lot more threatening with a tuxedo-adorned game director sniffing the back of his head.

If Miyazaki wanted a piggy back, all he’d have to do is ask.
