Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro are working on a new Silent Hill game together, it’s been revealed.

Spectacularly revealed shortly after Sony’s Gamescom press conference, it was discovered that obscure PS4 downloadable P.T. is actually a “Playable Teaser” for Silent Hills, a new title from the two directors starring The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus.

The game is being published by Konami and developed on FOX Engine by Kojima Productions, although further details have yet to be confirmed.

Kojima first revealed that he would like the opportunity to work on a Silent Hill title in 2012, while Del Toro had been working on the ill-fated Insane under defunct publisher THQ.

Earlier tweets from Kojima also reveal that he had met with del Toro and Reedus throughout 2013.

P.T. sees the player trying to escape from a darkened apartment building and is played from a first-person perspective. Konami warns, however, that the teaser isn’t representative of the final Silent Hills game.
