Tom Clancy’s The Division, which I actually rather liked, is having a free weekend, running from today, May 4. The European start and end times for the different platforms are as follows:

Xbox One: May 4, 8 am BST to May 8, 8am BST

PS4: May 4, 8 am BST to May 8, 8 am BST

PC: May 4, 6 pm BST to May 8, 9 pm BST

To check the timings for your region, hit up the Ubi blog.

As I said, I liked The Division. It’s a shoot and looter in a shared world — a post-apocalyptic New York — and it can be a blast with friends. There’d certainly be worse ways to spend your weekend. Plus if you decide you like it your progress carries over. It’s also currently heavily discounted, at least on the PlayStation and Xbox stores.

On the face of it this looks like weird timing for another free weekend. The anniversary of the game’s release was March 8, a couple of months ago now. But we know that Ubi is planning to drop two free expansions for the game this year. There haven’t been any further details on those yet, but it could be that Ubi is trying to pique your interest and get you involved ahead of those. Perhaps one of them is closer than we thought.
