Yes, squishing Terminid hordes is one of the most satisfying things you can do in the Galactic War. But you know what’s even more satisfying? Wielding a high-powered, pesticide-spraying weapon of mass destruction that can kill an army of these deadly creepy crawlies with ease. Even though there isn’t such a weapon in the current Helldivers 2 armory, there will be soon after Arrowhead teased a new Warbond that’s arriving in a few days.
Called The Chemical Agents, this new Warbond will feature the TX-41 Sterilizer, a hip-wielded weapon steadily spraying out noxious, Terminid-killing fumes that can render any bug lifeless (apart from the Bile Titan, maybe). But wait, there’s more. Since the two weapon-toting drones we have at our disposal aren’t as effective at eliminating bug swarms, Super Earth High Command is also providing frontlines with the AX/TX-13 “Guard Dog” Dog Breath, equipped with a similarly potent corrosive gas sprayer!
If that wasn’t enough, you can also rain toxic, shrapnel-inflicted fury on these unsuspecting Terminids with the G-4 Gas Grenade. And to lighten the mood in the never-ending battle for interplanetary supremacy, there will also be a couple of gas-themed emotes available for purchase, including one called “Natural Gas Extraction”, which you may have already performed in real life.
It’s also worth pointing out that The Chemical Agents Warbond is introducing stratagem variants, like an Orbital Gas Strike that emits toxic clouds instead, a first in Helldivers 2. Of course, we can’t forget about the governmentally-mandated drip, such as the AF-50 Noxious Ranger lightweight armor and the medium AF-02 Haz-Master. Both sets will have the Advanced Filtration passive, which gives you resistance to the previously mentioned gas clouds from the stratagem variants.
If you’re excited to get your hands on all of these exterminator-themed goodies, you won’t have to wait long. The Helldivers 2 Chemical Agents Warbond will be available starting September 19, so all your Terminid-related missions will be a breeze to get through soon.
