Hearthstone Curse of Naxxramas, the card battler’s single-player expansion expected in July, will cost players as little as £13.99, Blizzard has announced.

Split into the five wings of Naxxramas – a new one unlocked each week – players can choose to pick up wings individually as and when they launch or opt to buy in bulk for a saving. The wings will be released in this order: Arachnid Quarter, Plague Quarter, Military Quarter, Construct Quarter, and Frostwyrm Lair.

Access Naxxramas during the launch event Blizzard has planned and you’ll be granted free entry to the first wing. This free period will run for approximately one month.

How you pay for the remaining wings is you to you. Individual wings are priced £4.99 each or 700 in-game gold. On top of this there are various bundle deals to be had.

  • Buy the the final four wings for £13.99
  • Buy the final three wings for £11.49
  • Buy the final two wings for £6.99

If you miss the launch promotion for the free first wing, all five wings can be had for £17.49.

Buying a wing bundle doesn’t offer early access to wings, though, with the weekly release schedule remaining in place.

Blizzard also announced Heroic Mode, unlocked once players defeat all the bosses within a wing for the first time. In this mode the difficulty of bosses is ramped up to the point that they should prove a real challenge even for the most experienced players. Beat all the bosses in the expansion on Heroic Mode and you’ll receive a new card back.
