Speaking to Kotaku at the Spike TV VGAs, legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk revealed that it has always been part of the plan to release additional titles that utilise the board peripheral.
“I feel like the device is a flagship for other games,” said Hawk. “I think we can do another skate game, I think we can do other board-type games, surfing, snowboarding.”
He added: “That really was the master plan… I didn’t think it was some gimmick that people were going to have to buy again next year.”
Hawk’s comments are in line with those of Robomodo CEO David Michicich, who recently hinted to Develop that it is working on a new game that utilises the board.
Tony Hawk: Ride is out now for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
