Microsoft Studios has announced that the remastered version of Halo Wars will be available to purchase as a standalone game on Xbox One and Windows PC from April 20.

Halo Wars: Definitive Edition was originally released in December, but was only available to those who pre-ordered or purchased the Ultimate Edition of Halo Wars 2.

The game will cost $19.99 and will be available on Steam, as well as via the Windows Store. Those who pick up the shiny version of 2009’s Halo Wars on Xbox One will be able to play it on their PCs too thanks to it being an Xbox Play Anywhere title.
