Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, announced earlier this evening at Microsoft’s E3 conference, tries to remain as close to the original Halo as possible by placing a new graphics layer over the existing game engine – physics remain as they were in the original game.
Speaking on Gametrailers in an interview with Geoff Keighley, 343 Industries’ Frank O’Connor said that they wanted to keep the remake as close to the feel of the original game as possible. It’s even possible to switch to the old graphics at the press of a button.
Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is in development at by 343 Industries in collaboration with Saber Interactive and Certain Affinity and is due for release worldwide on November 15.
