GameTrailers TV host Geoff Keighley has announced via Twitter that the upcoming 2009 Spike Video Game Awards on December 12, 2009 will host the premiere for Halo: Reach.

A blog post made by Keighley on Spike.com added: At the VGAs you’ll finally get to see the world of Reach for the first time – and I promise that you won’t be disappointed.”

We’ve previously seen very little on Halo: Reach; a teaser was show back at E3 and a selection of blurry snaps have made their way onto the internet. There’s also a Halo: Reach beta, access granted through buying Halo 3: ODST, to go live at some point in the coming year.

The 2009 VGAs will also feature many other premieres, with exclusive new content promised from 2K, Activision, Disney Interactive Studios, Electronic Arts, LucasArts Entertainment, Microsoft Game Studios, THQ, Ubisoft, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, and more to be announced in the coming weeks.
