According to USA Today, Bungie and Microsoft’s Xbox 360 FPS Halo 3: ODST has sold around 2.5 million copies since its launch on September 22, 2009.
ODST is the first Halo FPS not to star the iconic Master Chief, a character who has helped the franchise sell more than 27 million units to date.
Commenting on the success of Halo 3: ODST, Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter said: “That’s pretty good for a game that most called an expansion pack.”
Despite being labelled an expansion by its critics, the game earned a 9/10 here at VideoGamer.com making it an essential purchase for Xbox 360 action fans.
