Halo Infinite's creative director, Tim Longo, has left 343 Industries, Kotaku has reported. The release window isn't changing, though: the game is still scheduled to launch at the same time as Project Scarlett, next Christmas.

In a statement issued about Longo leaving its first-party developer, Microsoft said, 'we are truly thankful for [Tim Longo's] many contributions to our games, our studio and the Halo universe. We wish Tim nothing but the best in his future endeavours.'

Chris Lee — executive producer on Halo 5, and now studio head at 343 — wil be leading the 'overall creative vision and production,' Microsoft added, before stating that Halo Infinite is still on track to meet its holiday 2020 launch.

It's also been confirmed that executive producer Mary Olson will now be in charge of the campaign team, as lead producer.

We got a fancy trailer for the game at E3 2019, which people later discovered had a hidden message in it.
