Fans will get the first glimpse of Halo 4 in a surprising place later this year – not in November’s Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, but in the Autovista mode of Froza Motorsport 4.
Bizarrely, a Warthog model based on its Halo 4 design will be fully modelled and explorable in Autovista. This means players can look around the vehicle, open doors and other panels and even jump into the driver’s seat and start the ignition.
Furthermore, Halo’s Cortana will narrate information pieces about the Warthog.
Sadly, players won’t be able to take the Warthog out for a drive, clearly missing the opportunity to at one point see a Warthog racing around the Top Gear Test Track.
The Warthog will be viewable this weekend at HaloFest in Seattle. Once the game is released players will need to unlock the Warthog Easter Egg.
Forza 4 will be released October 14, while Halo 4 is due Holiday 2012.
