Halo 4 will receive 50 Spartan Ops missions, spread over a 10 week period, new information from the Microsoft ExpertZone portal has revealed.

The ExpertZone provides info to retailers.

According to the UNSC Infinity Training documents, Spartan Ops will see five new missions released each week over a period of ten weeks. These 50 missions will complete Season 1 of Spartan Ops, which is free to those buying the game.

These missions are said to provide an additional 12 hours of incremental gameplay, in either single player or cooperative multiplayer.

The document also confirms that Halo 4 will feature ten new weapons and two new vehicles.

Halo 4 launches exclusively on Xbox 360 on November 6, 2012, one week before Call of Duty: Black Ops II goes on sale.

Spartan Ops sounds like a substantial set of regular DLC, but expect to pay for future seasons of content.
