343 Industries appears to be staffing up for work on an unannounced MMO.
According to the latest wave of job ads, the Halo 4 developer is looking to hire developers with “experience in MMO development” to help build “the next generation of backend services to power Halo 4 and [its] new game saga”.
The job descriptions ask for people who are “passionate about the technical challenge of building large scale, near real-time service” and who can help “reinvent the future of entertainment powered by cloud services”.
343 Industries has previously advertised for developers to work on a next-generation Halo game.
Back in July, a job ad for the studio said that it was looking to hire “an experienced graphics developer to help create the current and next generation of game visuals in the Halo universe.”
A Halo MMO, of course, was previously in development at defunct Microsoft studio Ensemble.
But will Microsoft resurrect the game under the eye of 343…?
Fable developer Lionhead is also expected to be working on a next-generation MMO. A current job ad for a Tech Director at the studio also asks for experience with MMOs.
