For the week beginning September 24 Halo 3 was the most played Xbox 360 game by users connected to Xbox LIVE. Bungie’s blockbuster sequel demotes Epic Games’ Gears of War down to No.2, with Rainbow Six Vegas, Madden NFL 08 and the Call of Duty 4 beta taking places three to five.
Halo 2 proved hugely successful online and Halo 3 is expected to follow with hundreds of thousands of gamers logging on for some multiplayer action.
