Microsoft has just confirmed that a viral alternate reality game for Halo 3 is underway.
Speaking to Pro-G, an official Microsoft source confirmed the campaign: “Iris is a spiral campaign designed to take gamers on an incredible journey through the Halo Universe. Led by an ‘unknown’ hand, users will discover bits of previously unknown information about the Halos, the Flood, the Forerunners, and the true origins behind the Halo trilogy,” stated the MS spokesperson.
Rumours began to circulate that a Halo 3 ARG was underway when imagery used by recent alien conspiracy protesters began to match that featured on the Bungie forum and in an ambiguous email from Microsoft, as reported by Pro-G earlier today.
