An Xbox One remake of Halo 2 will release on Xbox One this November and include access to a Halo 5 beta, according to an alleged Xbox insider.

Halo 5, apparently, has also been delayed into 2015.

The rumour formed part of a huge wave of alleged leaks on NeoGAF last night, where user ‘ntkrnl’ claimed that Halo 2: Anniversary Edition would ship on Xbox One on November 11 “with all sorts of s***”, including an alternative ending.

The user is believed to have been verified as having ties to Microsoft.

Reasons for Halo 5’s supposed delay were not provided. The game was initially expected to launch later this year.

Microsoft has never formally announced a 2014 date for Halo 5, but has said players will see a new Halo title this year. Earlier this month, Microsoft said that the “next Halo journey WILL begin in 2014“.

Microsoft told VideoGamer.com that it does not comment on rumour and speculation when contacted about the leaks this morning.
