Battle royale shooter H1Z1 has officially launched as a free-to-play title on PlayStation 4 today, developer Daybreak Games has announced.

H1Z1 previously attracted a whopping 10 million players during its Open Beta phase, and you can now snap it up without spending a penny.

Daybreak has prepared a bunch of content for the game's full debut on Sony's current-generation tellybox, including a Battle Pass for $5.49 giving you access to 30 reward levels across three tiers.

In addition, the developer has added two new weapons into the mix, namely the RPG and SOCOM Sniper Rifle, while the ARV joins H1Z1's lineup of vehicles you can now drive.

'Everyone here at Daybreak Games is thrilled with the overwhelmingly positive response to H1Z1's debut on PS4,' commented H1Z1 Producer Terrence Yee.

'Ten million new players in our first month Open Beta is an incredible milestone, and our entire development team has worked tirelessly to build on that early success. We're beyond excited to officially launch H1Z1 on PS4 – this is our fully realized vision for battle royale on console.'
