Details on the next Guitar Hero game appear to have leaked ahead of its official reveal later today.

As reported by LeMonde.fr (and syndicated by Yahoo France), the new game is allegedly called Guitar Hero Live and is being developed by DJ Hero creators FreeStyleGames.

It will also feature a new first-person viewpoint that will put players in the role of a guitarist playing at concerts, the report claims.

The traditional coloured note charts are also said to be being replaced by a redesigned fretboard. Comments from FreeStyleGames suggest the developer wanted the player to feel more like they were playing a guitar with their hands.

A full reveal is expected at 3pm today.

An Activision representative told VideoGamer.com that they could not comment on the leak when contacted earlier today.
