According to the June Issue of Game Informer magazine, as reported by a NeoGaf member, Guitar Hero IV is set to enter the world of multiple instruments, offering players the ability to play the drums, bass, guitar and take on the vocal track.

The highly anticipated sequel will also feature a song creation tool, enabling players to customise everything in a track but the vocals. These custom creations can then be uploaded and shared, with users even able to create album art. According to the NeoGaf report all platforms will support this functionality.

As far as included music goes, four bands have been confirmed: Van Halen, The Eagles, Linkin Park and Sublime. All tracks included in the game will be master tracks.

Guitar Hero IV is expected to be released later this year for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and PS2. A DS version is also on the way.
