A post on the RedOctane knowledgebase has confirmed that Guitar Hero III is being made, with an autumn 2007 release slot already scheduled for the US.
Along with the predictable Xbox 360 and PlayStation 2 releases, Wii and PlayStation 3 versions will be hitting the shelves, though there has been no indication of whether or not Guitar Hero III will include motion sensitive elements for the two most recent next-gen machines.
As of yet there is no word on what form the PS3 and Wii guitars will take. Previous Guitar Hero titles have included a plastic version of the SG and X-Plorer, so it is fairly likely that other members of the Gibson family of guitars, which includes the Flying V, will be reproduced for the Sony and Nintendo consoles.
