ArenaNet has announced that a preview event for the forthcoming Guild Wars Nightfall will take place between September 22 and September 25. Nightfall is the latest standalone expansion for Guild Wars, the MMO from NCsoft and ArenaNet that doesn’t require a monthly subscription fee.
The event will show new environments, new missions and new battle arenas, and will allow players to create Nightfall specific characters, including the two new professions included with the expansion. During the event the entire Istani province of Elona will be open, and players will be able to view the first in-game cinematics.
While the event is free and open to everyone, certain European magazines will include an access key to give players an exclusive in-game Gray Giant miniature. The Gray Giant can be used during the preview event, and can be carried over to the final game when it is released.
The Guild Wars Nightfall preview event will take place from September 22, 2006, beginning at 07:01pm GMT, and run through to September 25, 2006 at 6:59am GMT.
