ArenaNet and NCsoft have announced that their much anticipated MMORPG, Guild Wars, will find its way to retail stores in Europe on April 28th 2005. Players who preorder the game will be able to use their preorder access code to start playing the game on April 27th 2005, a full day before everyone else.

While that incentive of one day may not be enough to make you put your money down for the preorder, you will also have access to the remaining three beta events on February 18th (find out how to win a place on this beta by visiting the official website), March 18th and April 15th, with each event lasting for two days. Each beta will show new parts of the game and help iron out any problems before the games official release.

Guild Wars allows gamers from all over the world to play together. Players aren’t split into servers and there are no language specific versions of the game. You can truly play with anyone in the world. The game is also one of the few MMORPGs that requires no monthly subscription fee in order to play. Most games in this genre (World of Warcraft, Everquest, Star Wars: Galexies) charge approximately £8 per month for you to play the game.

We’ll have more on Guild Wars as the April 28th release date approaches.
