NCsoft and ArenaNet have revealed information on the thief class in upcoming MMO sequel Guild Wars 2. Gamers lucky enough to be at PAX East next week will be able to go hands on with the thief class in a brand-new build of the game.
According to ArenaNet, the thief is a master of stealth and surprise, and deadly in single combat, especially when catching foes off guard. While thieves have low armour, they make up for this by being quick and evasive, travelling through shadows, vanishing into thin air or stealing items from opponents.
Weapon skills cost Initiative points, but they have no recharge time, so thieves can use them back-to-back-to-back. Thief skills include Stealth, Shadow Stepping, Traps and Dual Skills. Weapons come in melee and ranged varieties, including the sword, dagger, pistol, and shortbow.
