An Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is rumoured to be in development after achievements for the unannounced title allegedly appeared on Microsoft’s servers.
The 33 achievements were posted by achievement hunting website XboxAchievements.com, who confirmed that they were listed “for Xbox 360”.
“No official announcement, no word on release date, price, or if it will come to retail or just be digital,” the site said. “Literally nothing but the achievements have shown up on Microsoft’s end. Watch our news space for info as we get it!”
The original Xbox and PS2 versions of San Andreas have both been removed from the platform holders’ digital marketplaces, too.
GTA: San Andreas celebrates its 10th anniversary in the US this Sunday, October 26, and in the UK next Wednesday, October 29. Is Rockstar planning on releasing an HD remaster to celebrate?
VideoGamer.com has contacted Rockstar for comment.
