Take-Two have announced that the PlayStation 2 monster hit GTA: San Andreas is to be released on the Xbox and PC in June 2005. The game which has done more than any other to help sales of the PlayStation 2 this Christmas has long been rumoured to be coming to Microsoft’s ever more popular console, but now it is official.

No details on enhancements to the game have been announced, but at a minimum we would expect a smoother framerate and custom soundtrack support. The game is due out on June 7 in North America, with a European release planned for June 10, 2005. Both the PC and Xbox versions will release simultaneously.
