While we all desperately await official news about GTA 6 from either Rockstar or Take-Two, a rapper claims that their viral meme song used on TikTok is in the game. Right now, GTA 6 is on course to come out on May 26th, but there have been concerns about the possibility of a second delay, with even some Rockstar employees harassed in public by “sick and tired” fans. All we can do is patiently wait for either Rockstar or Take-Two to provide an update such as trailer 3 or the much debated price, however, in the meantime, we have a rapper claiming that their song is part of the radio stations.
GTA source, Gameroll_, has shared a clip of The Secret Podcast. In this clip, rapper Skrilla claims that Doot Doot 6 7 is in the game. Skrilla says, “I’m waiting for GTA 6 to come out… 6 7 is on there, too”. When asked if 6 7 is on there, Skrilla nods and repeats “Yeah”.
Now, it’s important to point out that this is by no means official, but it is a claim from the artist rather than an unknown source. The song 6 7 has become a viral meme on TikTok, used for Lamelo Ball NBA edits as well as people spotting the number 67 in public.
This isn’t the first artist to claim that their song is in GTA 6. Previously, Travis Scott has teased their inclusion in the game, and T-Pain said he is working on GTA 6 in 2024, claiming Rockstar told him he “couldn’t do RP anymore” for NoPixel.
Away from Travis Scott and T-Pain, there have also been rumors about how radio stations will work. Earlier this year Grammy-winning music producer, Jermaine Dupri, said “Drake got his own radio station on Grand Theft Auto,” and “the way that they [Rockstar] are getting ready to do it is that Drake can actually upload music that we probably ain’t never even heard online or wherever else, on that video game”. There is also an alleged leak about a mode “similar to the ESPN NFL 2K5 custom music mode”.
We will have to wait and see if Doot Doot 6 7 is in GTA 6 or not. While you’d expect artists to be under strict NDA and not able to announce their songs for the game, it’s possible this revelation was a mistake or a misunderstanding. Either that or Skrilla simply mispoke.
In other news, Rockstar and Take-Two have attempted to hide new GTA 6 leaks as part of a futile coverup.
