GTA 5 has charted at No.1 in the UK Video Game Chart, becoming the fastest-selling game ever in the UK.
56 per cent of Grand Theft Auto 5’s sales came on Xbox 360, with the remainder on PS3.
In just five days on sale, GTA 5 has become the 24th biggest selling title of all time in the UK, the 11th biggest on Xbox 360 and 10th on PS3.
The game also sold more in its first week than the launch of all other GTA titles combined, selling 2.4 times that of GTA 4, and beating Call of Duty: Black Ops’ week one tally by almost 250,000 units.
So dominant was GTA 5 that 89 per cent of total sales during the week are attributed to Rockstar’s title.
