GTA 5 will participate as an official selection for this year’s New York Film Festival Convergence Program, Rockstar Games has announced.

Rockstar will be hosting a pair of official panel discussions at the festival, plus a special concert featuring the composers of the Grand Theft Auto 5 score.

The first of the two panels is scheduled for Sunday, September 29 at the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center and will focus on the storytelling and development of GTA 5. Topics in the talk will include the process for creating a piece of interactive entertainment, how three playable characters allows for a different type of storytelling and how Rockstar created the living, breathing world of Los Santos and Blaine County. The panel will be moderated by Adam Sessler and include select members of the Rockstar Games team.

On Monday, September 30 Rockstar will host a special concert event at the Church of Saint Paul the Apostle featuring GTA 5 score composers Tangerine Dream, Woody Jackson, The Alchemist and Oh No along with an ensemble of musicians performing a mix of tracks from the game’s score. Grammy award winning producer, musician, composer & engineer Om’Mas Keith will serve as Musical Director & Conductor for the event. The concert starts at 9pm and tickets are limited.

Finally, a free public event discussing the music of GTA 5 will take place on October 1 at The Amphitheater at the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center. The session will feature all of the game’s composers as well as Rockstar’s own soundtrack supervisor and moderated by Ryan Schreiber, founder of Pitchfork Media.
