GTA 5 players may soon be whizzing around Los Santos in jetpacks, a modder named Chr0m3 x MoDz has discovered.
Chr0m3 x MoDz spotted the reference to jetpacks in the game’s updated code after the release of title update 1.12. Code strings also indicate that players will be able to shoot from jetpacks just as they can from a parachute.
Rockstar hasn’t announced plans to offer jetpacks, but it’s now assumed that future DLC will introduce the flying machines. Shortly after GTA 5 hit stores a drawing within the game was spotted featuring jetpacks and aliens, though it’s not clear if this was referencing future game content.
