Rockstar’s promised Christmas gift for GTA 5 players appears to have been released by way of a 1.23GB update, according to the eagle-eyed users of GTA Forums.
In a recent Rockstar Q&A the dev promised it would release new festive content.
“Because we need a little time to get Heists right, we are going to give you a small Christmas gift to keep you entertained until we are done with them,” it wrote.
“We prefer to keep such things as a surprise, but without giving away any details (no peeking under the tree!), we can say that we do have a few seasonal treats in the works for players on all four systems to enjoy this coming holiday season in GTA Online. Look for details on that very soon.”
The content appears to include a range of new weapons and vehicles, a Christmas Tree, a Santa outfit and festive clothing.
San Andreas Super Autos reveals the Vapid Slamvan and the Bravado Rat-Truck, together with two new liveries for the Dinka Jester and the Dewbauchee Massacro. New weapons spotted included the homing launcher and a proximity mine.
An in-game message also confirms that players can now own three different properties.
The only really festive content looks to be a Christmas Tree for your apartment, a Santa outfit, Gingerbread mask, Christmas jumpers, scarves and hats.
